Chapter 105: The Deal

Fu Qingyang stood still like a statue, unable to respond. Zhang Yuanqing, knowing he couldn't get a reply, continued, "Dark Rose is looking for someone named 'Young Mercenary King,' and Black Grim Reaper has information about this person's identity. So, Pang Wudi inquired with Heaven's Injustice. However, Black Grim Reaper is unaware of Dark Rose's intentions behind seeking this individual."

After speaking, Zhang Yuanqing took a deep breath and added, "Because this doesn't directly concern our mission, I didn't report it earlier. But considering that Black Grim Reaper seems interested in this matter, I thought it would be best to inform you."

He had chosen these words carefully, a compromise with the current situation. Black Grim Reaper might not inquire about "Mercenary King," but based on Heaven's Injustice's memories, he might still ask questions. If he continued to hide information, not only would the intelligence gathered be wasted, but he would also lose Fu Qingyang's trust entirely.

Therefore, Zhang Yuanqing made this compromise, revealing only a portion of the information while concealing the most critical detail: that Young Mercenary King had participated in the operation to hunt the Judge of the Mysterious Eyes.

He knew that Fu Qingyang would likely see through this. A scout of his caliber couldn't be easily fooled. But it was a price he had to pay, choosing suspicion over complete loss of trust.

Inside the bedroom, Heaven's Injustice slightly stiffened upon hearing this, and in a low, deep voice, responded, "No reply."

Afterward, he chuckled lightly, "Why would Dark Rose reveal more about their motives if they were searching for this person? It's not important."

His tone, his microexpressions—all matched the real Heaven's Injustice perfectly. Though Fu Qingyang's knowledge of Heaven's Injustice was based on brief contact and Zhang Yuanqing's descriptions during questioning, for a high-level scout, this information was enough.

In the corridor, Zhang Yuanqing weighed his options and finally made up his mind. He clenched his teeth and said softly, "Captain, I have something to report."
